B-finder is rooted in EMPEKO – seasoned wildlife research company with experience in +450 projects delivered since 2006.
B-finder is an independent project developed as a result of service for wind industry, where we have built our experience on 297 projects and cooperation with dozens of developers and operators from +10 countries.
Since 2016 we transformed from environmental consulting and wildlife research office into environmental monitoring technology provider.
timeline
1989 passion
Brothers Paweł, Michał and Jan buy first binoculars and borrow Sokołowski handbook from small suburbian library, where they begin observation of animals.
2000 education
Paweł begins study in environmental protection spec. ecology & protection of animals. Michał starts biology spec. ecology & natural resources management. Jan inaugurates geography spec. GIS soon.
2006 entrepreunership
Short after university graduation Michał founded a wildlife research and environmental consulting office.
2008 wind
EMPEKO has finished first project for wind power industry. In next years environmental consulting service for wind projects will be the major activity of the company.
2015 Big Five
After ten years of activity EMPEKO has ranked among the first five wildlife research companies in Poland in terms of the number of projects completed.
2016 B-finder
Invention by ilumination. The result of 100 cumulative years of bats & birds monitoring for wind power.
2016 award
The first public presentation of B-finder system in WindEurope Summit in Hamburg has been awarded.
2017 grants
2017-2023 B-finder receives four R&D grants from governmental institutions with total budget of 1M EUR.
2019 patents
2019-2024 B-finder patents have been granted in Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, North America and South America.
